Meaning of the flag and its colors
The green flag with the orange cross is the symbol of the Nijmegen Four Days Marches. The colors refer to the Royal Dutch League for Physical Education (KNBLO), the original organizer of the walking event, as well as to the military roots from which the Four Days Marches originated. Green stands for movement and the military origin, while orange represents the connection with the Netherlands and the Royal House.
